Aim and Objective
The Pancreatitis Association International was established in August of 1999 to support in a proactive role the advance of research and understanding of pancreatitis. Palliative RX and comfort measures are what have previously been offered to those suffering with this disease. What is the next step? What does the frontier hold? Scientific advances, development of highly precise diagnostic tools, and pharmacological availability of new medicines, have made it possible for patients and their families to begin living in the solution. The care and treatment of Chronic Pancreatitis is continually making strides towards a cure. It is about increasing awareness of the disease process, participating in the interdisciplinarian care plan team, trusting, and believing in healing.....your healing. Services The Pancreatitis Association International offers local support groups and global online e-mail interaction to promote sharing of conventional and alternative therapies in a common goal to improve the quality of our lives. This network will work to bring together the experience, strength, and hope of your own stories. We, the people whose lives are so greatly affected by this disease, have a voice. This is your place.
